Our April VMNM is in partnership with Griffith University and will incorporate:
Topic: Position Descriptions, Project Plans and Minimising Supervision/Maximising Outcomes
This interactive session will enable sharing the experience of all participants and will guarantee hearing from others in your field. You will discuss various position descriptions which will attract candidates with the character and skills you want. Sample templates will be provided to you and some cases explored. You will also discuss the management of skilled volunteers working on independent projects and how best to set up these volunteers so that supervision is minimised and outcomes maximised. Attendees are invited to bring position descriptions or discuss roles they want to workshop for their organisations.
Guest Speaker: Ben Cameron - Partnerships Coordinator, Service Learning Community Internship, Griffith University
Ben has a wealth of experience in working with volunteer-involving organisations to develop meaningful and effective opportunities for university students seeking practical opportunities to contribute to organisations as volunteers, students on placement and/or interns.
