Volunteer Managers' Network Meetings (VMNMs) are an opportunity for managers and coordinators of volunteers to meet and discuss our challenges and success stories collaboratively in order to learn from each other and improve our engagement of volunteers.

Our July VMNM is hosted by St John Ambulance at their Yeerongpilly office and will feature 2019’s Queensland’s Volunteer Manager of the Year Zac Reimers who will be discussing event volunteering. 

Topic: Managing Event Volunteers

Guest Speaker: Zachary Reimers – Recipient – 2019 Queensland Excellence in Volunteer Management Award

Zac has managed the volunteers for a range of arts and cultural events including the Woodford Folk Festival, World Science Festival, Brisbane Festival, Jungle Love Music and Arts Festival and Brisbane Street Art Festival the 2018 Cultural Festival for the Commonwealth Games. He demonstrates good practice, excellent duty of care with a personalised approach, leading teams from 200 to 2,500 volunteers. Zac regularly provides training and advice for volunteer coordinators of national and international festivals and we are fortunate for him to share some of his wisdom with us.

Afternoon tea provided.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in, grab some refreshments and chat with your fellow volunteer managers before we start. You are welcome to stay back after the session for more refreshments and networking.
