We always appreciate the support our volunteers provide to look after our beautiful butterflies, and offer a place for visitors to learn more about these amazing creatures.
Help grow and maintain butterfly-attracting plants for sale at the Butterfly House, and host plants required for egg-laying, caterpillar food and nectar.
Potting, propagation, weeding, pruning and watering the established nursery areas.
Maintain tidy facility.
Training is provided.
Bribie Island Butterfly House is registered with Centrelink.
This role is based on Bribie Island, Queensland, and recommend volunteers live within a 45 minute drive from the Butterfly House. There is a two month training and probation period for volunteers to give you time to understand the skills and requirements of your position.
At least one shift per week.
The Gardening position is available every day of the week, so you can choose when you want to work. Working shift times available include:
7am to 11:00am
9am to 12:30pm
Yes. Fridays 9am to 12:30 pm
