About this opportunity

UnitingCare – Helping you live life in all its fullness. UnitingCare is a courageous and creative health and community services provider. Each year we engage with more than 430,000 individuals, families and communities in over 460 locations across Queensland and the Northern Territory. Through our services we’re addressing some of our community’s most pressing social issues, confronting injustice and providing end-to-end support for those facing adversity. With a strong connection to the Uniting Church, we use our reach and compelling vision to help people live life in all its fullness. At UnitingCare, we strive to help the people we serve experience life in all its fullness.

**Volunteer to change lives. Yours included.**
This volunteer opportunity will help to support young people enhancing wellbeing and safety. Volunteers offer clients a safe space to talk and experience positive interactions at recurring weekly home visits.

Family Friend volunteers work alongside families with the goal of building capacity and wellbeing to support safer, stronger futures for children. We support a diverse range of families experiencing complex needs including domestic family violence; mental health; alcohol and drug use; housing instability; and financial difficulties.

We are looking for volunteers who are compassionate, with the passion and confidence to support children, young people and families within the challenging child welfare space. Our volunteers need to have great communication skills, a non-judgemental approach and a willingness to learn.

[ℹ️] A link to the UnitingCare online application will be emailed after submitting this expression of interest. The application is required to progress your interest to volunteer.
