About this opportunity

The QPASTT Support, Skill and Connect Program program runs at Bracken Ridge TAFE, 2 hours a week for 10 weeks during term 2 of the school year.
Specific dates and times will be announced closer to the commencement date of the program.


We also offer a Volunteer Inductions and a Volunteer Debrief session for volunteers that qualify as volunteers for the program.

You do not have to have any specific qualifications. All materials, information and activities are provided and led by the facilitators. If you don't have a Working with Children Check, we can provide you with the paperwork.

You will be joining a fun and dynamic group to help with:
• Living in Australia
• Setting and achieving goals
• Linking in with broader communities
• Developing skills to find work and exploring vocational options
• Having fun and sharing local knowledge and experience
Are you:
• over 18
• interested in sharing cultural experiences and world views
• wanting to make a difference in a person from a refugee background’s life as well as your own
• proactive, enthusiastic and fun
• able to commit to two and a half hours, one afternoon a week

Please attend a 1 hour Information Session, to know more about the program, held at the QPASTT Office, 28 Dibley Street Woolloongabba.


Attendance at an information session is strongly recommended for all potential volunteers.
