About this opportunity

Radio 4RPH, Queensland's only radio station for those with a print disability, is looking to start a new form of newsroom. Solutions Journalism is about taking the bias, ratings, and money out of the news and returning it to facts, making it about real people, and most importantly showing your role in it all.

We are piloting the service here in Brisbane but will be looking to roll it out Nationwide on the RPH Radio Network before the end of 2019. While this role is currently voluntary we will be looking for funding to turn it into a paid role.

The editor will work closely with the Station Manager to establish the department, the goals, missions, ethical standards, and delivery. This would be simple, and fun, for a retired journo or a current journo/editor looking to make a difference and take a step back from the corporate news.

Other duties will be working with volunteer journalists on their stories, helping put together the weekly broadcasted news magazine, and eventually daily headlines and news reports on Radio 4RPH.
