  • Develop a good understanding of the layout of the festival precincts and manage the flow of festival participants
  • Help keep participants comfortable and safe on walkways throughout the festival.
  • Assist members of the public on where to go.
  • Have the ability to predict where pedestrian traffic may build up during certain events and be aware of health and safety of all festival participants.
  • Provide assistance to families, parents with prams, people with disabilities and elderly participants.
  • Prevent any areas from becoming too crowded and be willing to move people on if required.

The Cooktown Expo is a three week event showcasing indigenous arts and culture, history, science, agriculture, marine and environmental expos, workshops, demonstrations, music, song, dance and fabulous food!
