This is a great opportunity to get involved with your local community and make a practical difference in people’s lives. You will need a current Open C class drivers licence, be confident and comfortable driving an automatic passenger van or SUV and the ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of patients. If you are reliable and punctual with an approachable nature, we would love to hear from you.
The Transport to Treatment Volunteer is responsible for using a CCQ company vehicle to provide a safe, supportive, flexible and professional transport service for local cancer patients and their caregivers travelling within the local region to access their treatment and requiring assistance.
Provide supportive, reliable, and safe transport to clients with cancer.
Drive clients to specified destinations according to schedule
Maintain the CCQ vehicle, as required.
Accurate and timely documentation, as required.
Volunteers will need to be available for a regular shift, one day per week, on weekdays, during business hours, complete relevant training, a Criminal History Check and a Traffic History Check application at no expense to you.
