Volunteer Management Activity
Neighbourhood and Care Army Connect Initiative
Based in Fortitude Valley, Footprints Centre Based Activities Program (CBA) is a place where people come to make friends, eat a delicious meal and have fun. Each week is different with lots of activities, games, theme weeks, and outings. Clients include older people, people with a disability and people who identify as having a mental health issue. Their personal backgrounds vary greatly but everyone comes together for a warm, inclusive, happy and friendly day from beginning to end.
While CBA is a lot of fun, it also provides therapeutic benefits for clients including improved physical, mental and cognitive well-being.
Previously we have had a long term volunteer attend and play old tunes for the clients to reminisce and sing-a-long with every Thursday. It would be ideal to continue with this genre as the clients do love to hear songs from days past.
Sessions are every Thursday at our Fortitude Valley location between 10:30-11:30am followed by Lunch (provided).
We do ask for recurring and long term commitment to this position.
It is a requirement for volunteers with client contact be fully vaccinated against Covid19, records must be provided. Feel free to contact us for further information.
