Peer mentor support to engage with special needs adults in monthly dance events

About this opportunity

We are seeking young fun loving adults to engage with participants at our special needs community dance events. The ideal candidates will be kind and generous of spirit and have a genuine interest in helping us to facilitate this social opportunity for participants in a fun dance context. We encourage our volunteers to openly participate in the event and assist with conversations (where possible) and to jump in on the dance floor and immerse themselves which helps to take the event to the next level and adds to the inclusive atmosphere they seek.

The organisation is a young, vibrant charity in its 8th year. It operates high energy dance events for special needs young adults 18-35 providing a club-style experience in a secure environment and relies on young members of the community to get involved to help in the delivery.

Volunteers experience joy participating alongside our amazing young adults and gain satisfaction by being part of a fun team delivering a main-stream experience to our cohort who are likely to not otherwise experience an event of its kind.
