Do you have an interest in history, stories, and the people who tell them? Oral History Queensland (OHQ) is seeking a volunteer to assist in producing our newsletter, the OHQ E‑Bulletin. The E‑Bulletin is our major communication and marketing tool, reaching members across Queensland. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Editor to help prepare each edition for online distribution. **What You’ll Do** * Research national and international oral history websites to find items of interest for our members. * Write short descriptions and collect links for inclusion in the E‑Bulletin. * Attend occasional online meetings with the Editor and OHQ team. **What You’ll Bring** * An interest in history, storytelling, culture, or heritage. * Confidence using a computer and navigating reputable online sources. * Clear, concise writing skills. * A collaborative and reliable approach. * Ability to work from home with minimal supervision **What We Offer** * Free membership of Oral History Queensland for one year. * One complimentary OHQ training workshop. * Access to peer support from members working on oral history projects. * A welcoming volunteer community and the chance to build experience in communications, research, and the heritage sector. Education & TrainingThe opportunity is driven by an end of month deadline when the E-Bulletin is published. It is up to the individual to regulate their own time and pace of work. This is a position ideally suited to someone who shares and interest in history and oral history and is capable of working with minimal supervision.
