As part of the 2024 state election campaign, Volunteering Queensland wrote to all political parties, seeking their response to five specific proposals to further invest in and support volunteering in our state. We also asked if they had any specific policy platform around volunteering, and their level of support for the Queensland Volunteering Strategy.  We will publish any formal responses we receive from the parties.

We will continue to advocate for these proposals over the life of the newly elected Parliament, as well as work with the volunteering ecosystem to increase understanding and awareness of the essential role volunteering plays in maintaining and strengthening our social fabric and promote other proposals that will build volunteering at local and statewide level.
