Volunteering Queensland is inviting all organisations that work with volunteers to join the Volunteer Involving Organisation Register — a growing network shaping the future of volunteering in QLD.

The VIO Register will provide you with insights about volunteering in your community so you can be more informed and connected.

Developed to identify organisations across Queensland that involve or want to involve volunteers, the VIO register will help create a more connected volunteering ecosystem.

By joining the VIO register, you can:

• Share your organisation’s needs.
• Get insights into local volunteering data.
• Connect with support, training & opportunities
• Access a free, research-backed volunteer survey tool

The VIO Register is accessed through My Community Directory, meaning you will also get a free listing to promote your services to the community.

Want to better understand your volunteers?

The Queensland Voice of the Volunteer Survey, developed by Volunteering Queensland in partnership with My Community Directory, is a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to better understand and strengthen the volunteer experience across our state.

This free, research-backed survey tool enables volunteer involving organisations to easily gather anonymous feedback from their volunteers, helping improve engagement, wellbeing and retention.

Available to organisations who have joined the Volunteer Involving Organisation (VIO) Register, the Voice of the Volunteer survey tool allows organisations to deploy surveys via email, SMS or QR code, and view results through an interactive dashboard at both organisational and location levels.

Importantly, the survey also generates aggregated, anonymised data at both Local Government Area (LGA) and state levels — creating, for the first time, a comprehensive picture of the volunteer experience across Queensland.
