This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal information when you engage with our services, website, programs, and communications.

We collect personal information directly from you unless it is unreasonable or impracticable to do so. This includes:

  • EV CREW registrations 
  • Newsletter subscriptions 
  • Volunteer role advertisements

Why do we collect, hold, and use your personal information? 

We collect personal information to operate effectively and provide high-quality services. Our purposes include:

  • Delivering training, events, and volunteer programs 
  • Advertising volunteer positions 
  • Responding to enquiries 
  • Sending newsletters, resources and tools 
  • Operating and improving our website 
  • Conducting research, planning, and service development 
  • Processing payments and administrative functions

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. When no longer needed, information is securely destroyed or de-identified.  

Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. However, online transmission is rarely fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. 

Notifiable Data Breaches Scheme

 If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify:

  • The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) 

…in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) Scheme.

  • Employees, volunteers, contractors, and service providers 
  • Website developers, IT administrators, mailing houses, payment processors, analytics providers, and professional advisors

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information at any time. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
