Meals on Wheels Delivery Volunteers- Acacia Ridge

About this opportunity

Acacia Ridge Meals on Wheels require volunteers on a Wednesday &/or Fridays to assist with Meals on Wheels deliveries for our clients who may be aged, living with disability or experience disadvantage. Tasks may include the driving or delivering meals to clients and providing brief social interactions with clients and a friendly face. **SKILLS/DUTIES:** - Ability to read & follow instructions - Delivery Drivers- own car required (Fuel subsidy provided) - Delivery Assistants- able to read & direct driver to delivery stops - Minor Finance Handling - collecting client payments on select days of the week, cash or square card facilities (full training provided) - Reporting any concerns or feedback back to staff member 'You become our eyes' - Provide 'more than just a meal'- spend some time talking and checking in on our clients, often you will be the only one who they see in their day. **Benefits of Volunteering:** - Making a difference - Meet a diverse range of people - Be part of a worldwide organisation - Satisfaction of Helping others - Fun & Social - Opportunity to give back to your local community
