Volunteer Palm Lake Care

About this opportunity

Within the policies established by Palm Lake Care and working in collaboration with relevant managers, employees and other volunteers the Lifestyle / Creative Programs Volunteer will:

• Support staff to enable residents to express themselves creatively and engage in range of meaningful activities and events based on their interests.
• Assist with the creation and facilitation of a range of activities.
• Assist with a range of support tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the Creative Programs.
• Provide regular feedback to the Volunteer Coordinator / Lifestyle Coordinator.
• Support the development of an atmosphere and environment in which collaboration, creativity and joy are embedded in the service. Any other duties as directed by the Clinical Manager, Clinical Nurse, Registered Nurse or Service Manager.
• Comply with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Comply with the Aged Care Charter of Rights.

Additional requirements

• National Police Certificate^*
• Flu vaccination

Ability to communicate respectfully with all levels of management, staff, residents, and their representatives. Volunteers must attend a screening interview prior commencement and training.
