Court Support Volunteer

About this opportunity

Build trust and respect with the victim or witness and their family. Educate and inform victims and witnesses about the legal and court process. Maintain appropriate contact with the victim or witness from the initial referral until the court matter is finalised. Prepare the victim or witness so they know what to expect before each key stage. Offer reassurance, empathy and understanding. Be respectful, professional, courteous and act in accordance with PACT’s values and ethics. Remain impartial and independent. Understand, apply and keep within the boundaries of your role. Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all situations, matters and issues related to PACT activities. Ensure case files and activities are kept up to date in a timely manner through comPACT.
