Life Story Group Facilitator

RangeCare is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes community spirit and advocates quality support and care for older adults and people with a disability in the Sunshine Coast region and Gympie. We offer the full range of in-home, social and respite support services to encourage people to live independently for as long as possible.

Do you have writing experience or enjoy the writing process? Could you offer support with structuring, editing, inspiration and getting participants started on their life story or memoir? Are you empathetic, have some free time, enjoy meeting people, engaging in conversation, and making connections?

We are looking for someone to facilitate our Life Story writing group in Flaxton. The group meets once a month on a Tuesday afternoon, and it runs for approximately 2 hours. The group is for anyone who is interested in, or in the process of, writing their life story or memoirs. The group provides a friendly, informal, and supportive place, where participants can learn from each other, share their writing, get advice, feedback, and inspiration.

Aiming to commence February 2025.

Own reliable transport to be able to get yourself to and from the venue. Ability to apply for an NDIS worker screening. This is free for volunteers to obtain and needs to be renewed once every 5 years.
