**Address: Sinnamon Village Aged Care Precinct - 620 Seventeen Mile Rocks Road, Sinnamon Park QLD 4073**. Jacobs Court Residential Aged Care Community at Sinnamon Park is seeking volunteers to assist with the Resident Lifestyle Program during the week. This program includes facilitating card games, inspiring creativity in craft sessions, assisting with fun exercise classes and hosting bingo games. You will also be helping residents as they enter and exit the bus during bus outings, accompanying residents to concerts and assist the Leisure and Lifestyle team in a variety of other enjoyable activities. These activities assist residents with socialising, promoting a sense of well-being and encouraging community connectedness. Most importantly they bring joy and create smiles! Lifestyle Activities Assistants can help residents by: * Escorting residents to and from the Resident Lifestyle Program activity and assisting as required during the activity. * Accompanying residents to and from concerts held on-site. * Offering assistance to residents as they enter and exit the bus during bus outings. * Supporting the Leisure and Lifestyle team with other day to day tasks. * Communicating resident feedback back to staff to assist in improving both the activity and resident enjoyment. This role is suitable for people who have well developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and display a calm and empathetic manner. Volunteering is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of our senior residents while making friends, having fun and learning new skills. Volunteer hours are available in both the morning and afternoon between the hours of 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Volunteering hours are flexible, allowing you to choose hours that suit your schedule.
Security checks required for the position are supplied and paid for by Wesley Mission Queensland. This includes an NDIS Worker Screening Card. All applicants will be required to complete an online registration form which will be forwarded to them when their expression of interest is lodged with us. To be in this role you will be required to follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof you have received a minimum of one primary COVID-19 vaccination prior to commencement. Personal Protective Equipment may also be required.
