Wesley Mission Queensland’s Eagleby Neighbourhood Centre team are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals with an interest in sharing their time, skills, talents, and knowledge to help support the members of our community in a variety of ways. Eagleby Neighbourhood Centre is a safe community hub that provides a wide range of programs, activities and services to support youth, families, children and individuals. Volunteers enhance the lives of people accessing our centre by: * Providing support with the day-to-day running of the Centre including reception duties, meeting and greeting of clients and visitors and supporting clients with completing personal and case management documents. * Assisting in the running of Centre programs including Play Group, market stalls and providing support to the Emergency Relief program including pantry maintenance and packing food hampers. * Assisting with and providing general support for the development or implementation of special projects and community access experiences. * Building rapport and good relationships with participants, the team, and other stakeholders. * Sharing their special talents or interest in designated visits. * Assisting at organised events and activities. * Other tasks as required. Volunteer hours available: Flexible hours available Monday to Sunday. Volunteer times are negotiated prior to commencement. All our volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof that they have received one primary COVID-19 vaccinations before being registered. Volunteers must also have a current Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Workers Screening Clearance check before commencement.
