Hyland House Respite Centre in Petrie is seeking dedicated volunteers to accompany and support our members on their weekly bus outings. The Bus Assistant Volunteer can help members by: * Engaging and connecting with members. * Offering assistance to members as they enter and exit the bus. * Most importantly, helping to create joyful moments! Volunteering hours available for this role are Mondays to Friday from 8.00am and 3.00pm. Hyland House Respite Centre is a welcoming and rewarding place to volunteer. Volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan, provide proof they have received one primary COVID-19 vaccinations before commencement and do not provide personal care. Volunteers will also be required to have a current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance prior to commencement. Security checks required for the position are supplied and paid for by Wesley Mission Queensland. This includes an NDIS Worker Screening Card. If you have ever been a citizen or a permanent resident of a country other than Australia since turning 16 years old you will be required to complete a Statutory Declaration. All applicants will be required to complete an online registration form which will be forwarded to them when their expression of interest is lodged with us. To be in this role you will be required to follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof you have received a minimum of one primary COVID-19 vaccination prior to commencement. Personal Protective Equipment may also be required.
