ILSA was established in 1997 by people living with a disability who wanted their services provided in a way that suited their needs.
In 2018, ILSA started to also support older Australians under the My Aged Care scheme through word of mouth requests to provide in home support.
We pride ourselves on the longevity and quality of our service, both of which are unique in the sector. The ethos of a person centred approach is demonstrated in all that we do, including through membership of our governing body which comprises mainly of people with lived experience.
We currently support approximately 100 clients in the NDIS in Cairns and Mackay, and 50 older Australians receiving home care packages in Cairns.
