About this opportunity

Expressions of Interest, too early to allocate positions. Our show is run by a non for-profit organisation built soling on Volunteers. It is held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in South Brisbane. Wednesday and Thursday are Set up days. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are open to the public. Ideally, we would love volunteers to do as many days as possible. At this stage we are just advertising to gain interest, but we won't be appointing any particular positions until closer to the event. Please follow our Face Book page. The Cake show is a large, ticketed event that Cake and Cookie decorating enthusiasts can come to do workshops, buy from lots of stalls selling cake and cookie decorating supplies. We have cake and cookie celebrities come and do demonstrations. There is a huge cake and cookie competition where the public make pieces that are judged.

We need volunteers:

• To sell tickets
• Man the front entrance
• Help with workshops
• Do lots of cleaning and preparing.

We desperately need volunteers on the Wednesday to unload our trucks and set up the whole show. Sunday afternoon and night is the pack up. Please ask your friends and family to come along with you. It is hard work but so much fun. You will make friends and will be so appreciated!! You do not need any cake and cookie decorating experience, but you will leave wanting to start!!
