Here at St John Queensland, we’re looking for volunteers to join our government funded ACVVS (Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme). Our amazing volunteers are the heart of this program, we’ll support you every step of the way and match on general interest to ensure long lasting friendships. We’re looking for kind-hearted individuals like yourself to visit aged care facilities for one hour, once a fortnight in the Townsville region. ***These visits could include*** *having a cup of tea, getting involved in a simple activity together, reading, singing along to music or having a yarn.* * Must be over the age of 18 * Willingness to undergo a free national police check * Committed for the long run * Be patient, compassionate and a good listener To get more information, press the apply now, or give us a call on 1300 785 646 today!
