Beenleigh District Community Development Association Inc. (BDCDA) operates Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre, a vibrant community hub in Beenleigh, Queensland, dedicated to supporting individuals and families.
The Centre offers a variety of essential services, including counselling and psychology support, Justice of the Peace services, and public computer and internet access. It also provides the Beenleigh Community Garden, promoting sustainable living, and supported accommodation for families in need. These are just a few examples of the many services the Centre offers.
In addition to its core services, the Centre fosters community engagement through a wide range of social and recreational activities. It hosts yoga and creative writing sessions, a ukulele group, international cooking classes, and the Chatty Café, a welcoming space for people to connect and build relationships. These activities are only a small part of the Centre’s ongoing efforts to bring the community together.
