Northwest Community Group Inc. (NWCG) is a grassroots charity based in Brisbane, driven entirely by volunteers and built on the belief that everyone deserves somewhere safe to sleep at night. Founded in 2023, we respond directly to the needs of people experiencing homelessness across Brisbane and Moreton Bay through street outreach, emergency relief, and long-term advocacy.
Our team runs weekly community BBQs, meal deliveries, and supply drops, distributing tents, sleeping gear, clothing, and toiletries to those doing it tough. We operate community pantries, lease transitional housing, and provide practical, compassionate support with no red tape and no judgement.
NWCG also partners with local businesses, legal advocates, and other frontline groups to challenge the systems failing vulnerable people. In just over a year, we’ve delivered over 1,000 tents, rescued 18 tonnes of food, and created a new warehouse hub with op shops to fund our programs.
Our volunteers show up with love, rain or shine - because we know real change starts with community, not bureaucracy. Whether cooking, sorting donations, or simply sharing a conversation, every act of service helps restore dignity and hope.
