The Tukka Project is a charity pioneering a Kids Feeding Kids community-based solution to ensure no kid goes hungry at school. We partner with schools, local communities and local businesses using a place-based service model to prepare nutritious lunch packs in local schools and community locations for distribution to local schools whose students go hungry at school. This is provided at no cost to the schools.
With a focus on nutrition and dignity, meals are provided to hungry kids at school so they can learn and thrive. The meals are provided in a way to preserve the dignity of the recipient so they can eat with their peers and not be seen as different.
The Tukka Project’s unique kids feeding kids methodology, where meals are prepared and packed by volunteer students and others, means volunteer students understand the impact of volunteering, build stronger communities and develop new life skills.
