Shape the future of Volunteering in Queensland!

We’re looking for visionary leaders to help us continue our legacy of success in advocacy, innovation, education, and support services for our remarkable members. With the completion of Director terms for a number of our existing board members, we are seeking to refresh the Volunteering Queensland board and appoint a new team to lead the strategic direction of one of Queensland’s leading peak bodies.

VQ supports hundreds of members who rely on their volunteers to support the provision of key community services such as: emergency and disaster response; older and vulnerable people care and staffing major sporting and community events (like the upcoming Olympics!). Volunteering connects our society, and our work is vital to ensuring volunteer-involving organisations retain the strong, effective volunteers necessary to advance their mission and cause.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking individuals who are committed to ensuring the highest levels of support for our clients and advocacy for volunteers. You will have a deep passion for contributing to our community, whether through volunteering, community service or in some way, making a positive social impact. Visionary thinking, strategic acumen, and strong collaboration skills are essential, as is a track record of leadership and achievement, and a willingness to leverage your networks to champion volunteering in Queensland.

We are seeking a combination of the following expertise and experience:

Experience in member driven advocacy organisations, not for profit, local government or service-based organisations will be highly regarded.

Join Us in Shaping Brighter Futures!

Together, we can achieve remarkable success. If you are interested in our purpose, we encourage you to apply.
