Each year, Brisbane City Council and Volunteering Queensland join forces with over 300 volunteers to run Homeless Connect.
In a one-stop-shop environment, guests have access to medical, employment, housing and legal services, as well as clothing and footwear, food, bedding, toiletries and more. Guests at the event are also invited to enjoy professional personal care services such as haircuts and grooming.
With vital services offered and a day of fun activities and entertainment, Homeless Connect treats guests with dignity and grace while boosting their self-esteem. This is an important and unique event that drives human connection and reduces barriers between the community and guests.
Volunteers have been the backbone of Homeless Connect and to date have helped more than 20,000 people connect with services that would have otherwise been out of reach.
We will have a range of volunteer opportunities, such as front-of-house, meet-and-greet assistants, bus attendants, hairdressers, medical staff, and more.
To express interest in volunteering, please complete the form below.
You will be added to the Homeless Connect volunteer database and will be notified when dates are confirmed and when registrations open for volunteers.
