About this opportunity

The Learning2Drive Safe Program sees volunteer mentor drivers matched with learner drivers from marginalized and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, to provide no cost driving opportunities to assist them in gaining the required amount of on-road driving experience. **ROLE SUMMARY** *To assist learner drivers in gaining supervised on road, practical driving experience. *To develop and maintain a purposeful, empowering, supportive and ongoing relationship with program participants. **ESSENTIAL CRITERIA** *Ability to volunteer for 8 or more hours per week. *Have held a 'C' or 'CA' drivers license for more than 2 years. * Be in good health, with no impacting previous health issues. *No recent driving or traffic related suspensions- within the past 2 years. *Valid Blue Card or willing to obtain (Free to obtain). * Be able to produce 2 character referees. **DESIRABLE SKILLS** *Previous driver training/teaching experience *Experience with persons from diverse backgrounds and cultures
