We are seeking a passionate and reliable gardener to help care for our beautiful community garden at the Childhood Cancer Support accommodation in Herston. This special garden provides a peaceful, healing space for children and families undergoing treatment. We are looking for someone who can help maintain and nurture this space, so it continues to bring comfort, colour, and joy to our families. Help us grow a space of healing and hope. 🌿 Responsibilities may include: -General garden maintenance (weeding, pruning, planting) -Lawn care and seasonal planting -Maintaining plants -Innovation to create more garden beds such as fairy gardens, sensory gardens etc -Ensuring the space is safe and welcoming We’re looking for someone who is: -Experienced and passionate about gardening and plant care -Someone who is Innovative and creative -Attention to detail -Gentle, compassionate, and respectful of a healthcare environment -Reliable and able to work independently -Comfortable working around families and sick children Whether you’re a professional gardener or an experienced hobbyist, your work will make a meaningful difference. 📍 Location: Herston 🕒 Hours: Once a week/Fortnight, Flexible with Monday-Friday business hours. This role has flexible working hours, you can choose to volunteer any day between Monday and Friday between the hours of anywhere between 8:30am and 4:30pm. Ideally once a week or once a fortnight.
