Every year we come together to celebrate some of the volunteers who go above and beyond to keep their communities running. This year, the gala event will be celebrated during National Volunteer Week at Brisbane City Hall in May, 2024.

Volunteers give their time, effort and skills to better our society. The contribution of over three million Queensland volunteers (75% of adults) have provided unparalleled assistance to people and causes across our beautiful state.

Come along to celebrate the important contribution of volunteers at the 2024 Queensland Volunteering Awards!

Our patron Her Excellency the Governor, Master of Ceremonies Craig Zonca, ARIA-winner Tyrone Noonan, Angela Fabian and guest performers from the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA) will be in attendance to share in our gala event of the year.

Angela Fabian

Angela is a mother, a musician a storyteller who, despite having enough experiences to fill ten lifetimes, manages to retain a bubbly optimism, a self-deprecation and an electric energy that shines through in her music. With each performance, Angela reminds her audience of the immense power of music. Her album acts as a window to a time when music could sway the tide, change attitudes and break rules. This is music as nature intended: powerful, intelligent and wild at heart.

I am so excited to be performing at the Queensland Volunteering Awards 2024, I  respect the dedication of Australians and Thank you for all you’ve done to make this world a better place.

Angela
