About this opportunity

PACT educates, empowers and supports child victims and witnesses to crime as they prepare to give evidence in the Queensland Criminal Justice System, helping them understand the legal system and being by their side as they give their best evidence in court.

Our Child Witness Support Program matches trained and carefully screened volunteers with child victims at the beginning of the court journey (after an arrest is made). Volunteers are then by the witness's side at every key step of the legal process.

PACT Support Volunteers:

  1. Support the child as they prepare to give evidence
  2. Provide education and information on the legal process
  3. Build confidence and self-belief, empowering children
  4. Support the witness as they give evidence in court
