Jane Hedger said, “I feel very privileged to lead the state’s peak body for volunteering and to have the opportunity to work alongside this professional and passionate team to support our valued volunteers and members. It is a challenging time globally, across Australia and here in Queensland. We are experiencing the highest ever demand for volunteers.”
“Volunteering Queensland has a remarkable history of service and achievement. I am excited by the opportunity to work with our new Board to continue to grow the organisation for a successful and sustainable future.”
Jane will take up her appointment from Monday 27 May, working alongside current CEO Mara Basanovic who officially retires after eight and a half years at the end of June.
