These resources and workshops are part of the Volunteering Queensland Seniors Volunteering Project, designed to support Volunteer Involving Organisations to build capability, strengthen inclusive practice, and grow volunteering opportunities. They support VIOs to engage older Queenslanders and explore intergenerational volunteering models that build connection and community impact.
Registrations are now open for the VIO Q&A Workshop, an interactive, participant-led session focused on volunteer management and the volunteer lifecycle.
The session is shaped by participants who are invited to submit 4-6 questions, challenges or barriers they are currently experiencing, which will guide the discussion on the day.
Alongside broader volunteer management topics, including onboarding, support, grievance processes, and volunteer end-of-journey, the workshop can also explore engaging older volunteers and ideas for intergenerational programs that strengthen connection, participation, and community impact.
